Jane is the Primary Curriculum Manager at West Sussex Music, where she leads CPD for schools and supports both new and experienced teachers across the county. In addition to her work with schools, Jane works with the classroom instrumental team, organising their training and development programs, and assisting with the content and delivery of their lessons. Jane has participated in the research project Changing Tracks developing inclusive practices in schools and working with children at risk of exclusion.
Before joining West Sussex Music, Jane studied Performing Arts at Middlesex University and has extensive experience as a teacher, arranger, composer, and performer. She has led music and teacher training in various educational settings, including four diverse primary schools. Jane has created, arranged and composed music for the Music Makers orchestral courses and written children’s music for Nickelodeon and the Boogie Bears preschool music group. In the primary sector, she has developed music curriculums for children in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and South London.
