Rachel Maby

A message from Rachel Maby

Hello! My name is Rachel Maby and I’m the Schools Singing Leader for West Sussex Music. My role is to curate bespoke mass-singing events for primary and secondary students across our county and lead singing CPD for teachers.

You will find information below about each of our choral singing events, which includes:

KS1: Little Big Sings
KS2: Big Sings
KS3: Sings Live!

All year round we offer CPD for school teachers, which includes the exploration of singing repertoire for each Key Stage. This year we are excited to launch a conducting course, for those un-confident or wanting to gain more experience in their ensemble conducting skills.

On the Develop Singing in Your School page, you’ll find information about how to sign up to CPD opportunities, access bespoke singing support, get involved in co-curricular and extra-curricular singing activities and access recommended singing resources.

Please get in touch if you’d like to know more and I look forward to hearing from you.

Why get involved?

There are so many reasons to start making music! We’re committed to enabling all children and young people to access music education, so we have a generous bursary scheme to help with costs.

What people are saying

“It was wonderful seeing the students’ genuine enthusiasm on the stage, it was heartwarming.  Looking forward to the next one!”

“The atmosphere and talent in that room was incredible.”

Fergus Wilson, HLTA at West Hoathly C of E primary school
