We are thrilled to offer an orchestral workshop for advanced instrumental students of grade 5 or over. Players will have the opportunity to make music with members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) and an exclusive opportunity to watch the RPO in rehearsal the following weekend.
The RPO is a professional orchestra based in London that regularly performs at The Hawth in Crawley and is working in partnership with West Sussex Music to offer this free workshop.
In the orchestral workshop, which runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, young musicians under 21 who are more advanced and play at grade five or higher will enjoy a creative workshop using Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet as its inspiration.
All workshop attendees are invited to the RPO’s special free rehearsal at 10.30am to 12noon on Sunday 18 February.
