Stefan began having drum lessons at 9 years old and within two years he had joined the steel orchestra ‘Sounds Of Steel’ where he studied Afro-Caribbean and Latin drumming for 10 years.
Stefan graduated from ‘The Academy Of Contemporary Music’ (ACM) with a ‘First Class Degree’ in Live Music Performance in 2015.
Stefan has studied privately with some of the UK’s finest drummer such as Pat Garvey (Rag ‘n’ Bone Man), Ian Thomas (Eric Clapton) and Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai).
Stefan’s performances with ‘Sounds Of Steel’ include the Royal Albert Hall, HM Queen Elizabeth II ‘Royal Jubilee’ and Notting Carnival’ as well as successful tours to Grenada, Barbados, South Africa and India teaching drums and percussion workshops in local townships and shanty towns
Since 2015 Stefan has been busy performing up and down the country with various Big Bands, Jazz Trios and Reggae artists at festivals and in the studio. Other performances of note include the Isle Of Wight Festival, Boomtown, Secret Garden Party as well as live theatre shows such as ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Sister Act’, ‘Bring It On’, ‘Working’ and ‘Just So’
