Sarah’s lifelong love of music started with learning the piano and trumpet as a child, playing at home as well socially in jazz bands and orchestras.
She trained as a primary teacher at Chester University – B.Ed Music and studied the piano and trumpet.
Sarah is a qualified class teacher and piano/ keyboard specialist and started her career working in primary schools as a classroom teacher and school music coordinator. In her current role as a specialist whole class music teacher, Sarah enjoys sharing her love of music, encouraging the children to work together on projects in school as well as creating special memories with chances for children to perform including with Young Voices at the O2 or other Horsham schools at the Hawth Theatre.
Sarah has over 20 years of experience teaching piano and keyboard lessons and was previously the lead teacher for the keyboard team at West Sussex Music.
Sarah says: I believe instrumental lessons are something that everyone can enjoy and benefit from. Every student is an individual, with their particular musical interests, learning styles and progression rates and I will tailor my teaching to meet these and work with students to help achieve their goals.
Sarah is the most fantastic teacher and wonderful human being! She can work with students of any age, ability, SEN, social level etc. She caters the music played to what the student is interested in and arranges a lot of her music. She is able to fully support students through the performing sides for both GCSE and BTEC qualifications as well as doing graded exams. She is brilliant.”
