Mia is a string instrumentalist specialising in Viola and Violin. She began playing the violin in primary school and later found a love for the viola. She has always been a part of orchestras and ensembles in and outside of her studies and has participated in a number of concerts throughout the years.
In 2023, Mia graduated from the University of Chichester Conservatoire with a 2:1 in BMus Music Performance and then in 2024 she graduated from the Masters in Music Performance with a Merit. In her time at the conservatoire, Mia has been taught by a range of specialists including Dan Shilladay.
Mia’s experience has allowed her to perform in a wide range of concerts and events in the UK and abroad, this includes performing at Goodwood and playing in a range of musical theatre shows such as Les Misérables, Follies and Spring Awakening. Mia was the principle viola player at the University of Chichester Conservatoire’s chamber and baroque orchestra’s for many years and has gained great knowledge about ensemble and orchestral playing from this.
Mia is keen to inspire young people to learn an instrument in the same way she was and hopes she can share her knowledge, experience and passion with anyone that is interested in music.
