Lucy has had a keen interest in studying the piano from a very young age, supported by a further interest in the flute and piccolo. Through A-Level music to ABRSM Grade 8 in both instruments, and alongside many years of further study, Lucy has an in depth knowledge and understanding of piano and flute on both a performance and pedagogical level.
Lucy has almost 20 years of experience teaching piano, keyboard and flute, ranging from students in their early years of education through to secondary school students.
Alongside her teaching, Lucy plays in a Flute Quartet which performs locally, as well as flute/piccolo in the Haywards Heath concert band. Other performances include musical theatre and live shows playing piano/keys as part of a band in a variety of projects.
Lucy’s main goals are for students to thoroughly enjoy playing their instrument and learning all the musical skills they can along the way. This is always cultivated by enthusiasm and support throughout the entire learning process.
