Jess Schlenther

Jessica trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and was a soloist performer for many years, touring with opera companies around the UK and Europe, also headlining at Cunard Cruises. She is an experienced oratorio singer and was a regular ad hoc panel member of the BBC Singers over several seasons.

Jessica enjoys bringing her extensive performing experience to her teaching. She is a great believer in technical work and careful development of the young voice. She is equally comfortable teaching classical, jazz, musical theatre and pop; she currently has two ex-pupils at UK conservatoires.

Jessica is especially interested in establishing the musical dialogue between performers and extension of theoretical knowledge; to facilitate these interactions, all lessons are fully accompanied on the piano.
