Emily began her career in music while studying with Sandy Duffy Norman of Sunridge Flute Studios in Salem, Oregon. In 2015, she graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance, and in 2017 she received Master of Music degree from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Her teachers have included celebrated soloists such as Linda Toote and Ian Clarke, as well as members of the London Symphony Orchestra (Gareth Davies) and ROH Symphony Orchestra (Christopher Green).
After graduating, she gained a range of teaching experiences working with KeyNotes Music, Music Booth Academy, Wandsworth Music, and Surrey Sound of Music, and she currently teaches flute privately at St. James Catholic Primary School. She also runs a private music studio teaching flute, based in Leatherhead.
