Curriculum support

Support and advice for school leaders and school music leaders

We work in partnership with schools through the music education hub’s School Music Education Plan (SMEP) to provide networking, peer support and CPD opportunities for music subject leaders and school leadership teams including:

  • secondary heads of music meetings
  • primary TeachMeet sessions
  • county wide conference days to provide inspiration and information on current national initiatives

We also provide a wide range of resources to support and enhance music education in your school.

If you’d like us to help you to provide a broad and vibrant music curriculum, contact our schools team at music@westsussexmusic.co.uk.

What people are saying

“It was wonderful seeing the students’ genuine enthusiasm on the stage, it was heartwarming.  Looking forward to the next one!”

Emily Warner, Head of Music at the Forest School

“Our students will often not get the opportunity to be part of something like this, particularly with mainstream peers of the same age, or have the opportunity to perform in a venue like this evening, so giving them that experience, I’m sure will definitely stay with them forever.”

“It’s such a great opportunity for our students to work with other schools and choir leaders, and have the opportunity to perform in a fantastic event with a large audience.”
