Leo has completed a National Diploma in Music Practice qualifying with a Distinction. Following on from this he studied Music and Instrumental and Vocal Teaching at the University of Chichester and graduated in 2011 with a 2-1 BA (Hons).
Before joining West Sussex Music, Leo had over 11 years experience in teaching private guitar lessons to students of all ages. In addition to this he has worked as a HLTA in a primary school in Bognor Regis where Leo was responsible for the music curriculum planning in Years 5 and 6 and whole-school music assemblies on a weekly basis. He has extensive experience as a musician playing in bands and as a solo musician.
Leo is a firm advocate for the mental and psychological benefits that learning an instrument brings. Learning guitar (or any instrument) helps to gain confidence, build resilience and further develop coordination skills.
