Workshop – LPO Junior Artists: Overture Day

If you’re aged 10–15 and Grade 3+ standard on your orchestral instrument, come and join London Philharmonic Orchestra musicians at our free LPO Junior Artists: Overture Day on Thursday 17 April 2025 at Worthing High School.

LPO Junior Artists: Overture days are free, fun orchestral skills days where participants play alongside LPO musicians, get tips on musicianship and find out what happens behind the scenes of a professional orchestra. In this Overture day we will play music that will take us to magical, mythical lands, including extracts from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Grieg’s ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King,’ and music from Dreamworks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon.

The day will take place at Worthing High School, South Farm Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 7AR from 11.00am – 4.30pm.

At 4pm there will be a free performance showcasing the pieces we have explored, which will be open to friends and family.
