Skills & experience

Amy is a creative multi-genre violinist at the start of her career. She made her solo violin debut at 18, performing Bach’s Oboe and Violin Concerto with the Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra after winning Wolverhampton Young Musician of the Year. During her time at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD), Amy explored a variety of musical styles, including symphonic orchestral, opera, chamber music, folk, and musical theatre.

Alongside her diverse interests, Amy has a deep passion for Baroque music, having performed with ensembles such as the RWC Baroque Ensemble and attended specialised courses like the Marnaves Summer Baroque course. She has worked with prominent figures in historical performance, and her love for blending musical traditions was showcased in her self-arranged concert, merging Baroque and folk influences. Amy’s versatility as a performer extends to appearing in theatrical productions as an actor-musician.

In addition to performing, Amy is a dedicated teacher, passionate about fostering creativity in her students, and is a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador, which allows her to connect with other budding teachers and take part in regular professional development sessions from industry leaders. She also sings, plays the oboe and viola da gamba, and aims to continue blending her wide-ranging musical interests throughout her career. Amy is excited to inspire the next generation of musicians, and help facilitate the connection and inspiration that music can provide in young people.
