Inclusive orchestra for all  

Applications are now open for children and young people from West Sussex to join the incredible Orchestras Inc. 

Orchestras Inc is an inclusive, creative music group for children and young people under 25 with special educational needs or disabilities, along with their parents/carers.  

The group is organised by West Sussex Music and meets at Horsham Music Centre, based at Millais School on Saturdays. 

Following two fun filled sessions and a performance earlier last term, there are now two more dates available for the summer: 

Saturday 11 May 12.30 – 14.00 and Saturday 22 June, 12.30 – 14.00 

Whether you’ve been before or are keen to give it a go, everyone is welcome to join the fun. 

Alison Sutton, Assistant Head and Inclusion Lead at West Sussex Music, said: 

“Music has long been known to promote a sense of pleasure in people who play it or listen to it, Orchestras Inc harnesses this joy so that everyone can take part.” 

She added: “Orchestras Inc. is open to all children and young people with additional needs, whether they attend a special school, are at a mainstream school, or are home schooled.”
