Inspirational workshop week
Last week The Benedetti Foundation provided the most inspiring week of workshops, teacher training, and performances.
Their interactive and fun schools’ workshops introduced pupils to the fundamentals of making music and took them on a musical adventure, composing and performing, playing body percussion, listening to live music, and having lots of fun.
The residency week took place from Monday 22 January and involved Tangmere Primary Academy, Seal Primary Academy, Eastergate CE Primary School, Rose Green Junior School, Nyewood CE Junior School, Bartons Primary School, St Nicolas and St Mary CE Primary School, Buckingham Park Primary School, and Herons Dale Primary School.
On Tuesday there was a teacher training session for primary classroom teachers led by the Benedetti team hosted by Bartons Primary School in Bognor Regis.
On Thursday 46 instrumental teachers attended a training at Worthing Assembly Hall with The Benedetti Foundation’s Rachel Cooper leading the sessions.
And finally…on Friday the amazing team of Benedetti tutors ran an inspiring Strings Day workshop for violin, viola, cello, and double bass players from all over the county. Over 100 young string players attended, with a fantastic performance to their families at the end of the day.
